Island Peak (aka Imja Tse) is nestled in the heart of the Kumbu region, named for its appearance as an island from afar that seems set adrift in a sea of snow, ice and magnificent Himalayan peaks. Although the hiking approach is often gauged as strenuous the climb itself is considered moderate for mountaineers. Both the hike and the climb are extraordinarily scenic and endlessly exhilarating. Our expert and licensed OUTDO guides are the ultra-experienced Sherpas who will support you safely on your summit attempt while factoring in ample time for acclimatization and a reasonable pace without compromising an itinerary that maximizes your sightseeing possibilities. Adventure Package and Pricing
The 21 day Island Peak Mountaineering and Hiking Combination Adventure includes 3 nights of accommodation in Kathmandu including breakfast, round-trip airfare between Kathmandu and Lukla, a minimum of 16 adventure days including 3 meals a day, a minimum of 16 nights of guest or teahouse accommodation while trekking, a maximum of 3 weather dependent summit attempts, airport transfers, porter service, trekking permit and TIMS Card (traveler security card), local and government taxes, a fully-licensed and English-speaking Sherpa guide. Not included are your lunch and dinner on the first two days and last day. Mandatory travel insurance is also not included.
